Gerald Richardson received his BS in Business Administration (majoring in accounting) from The E. Claiborne Robins School of Business at The University of Richmond. After being employed by one of the major international accounting firms, he received a Masters of Taxation degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Since 1986, Mr. Richardson has operated an accounting practice in Richmond, Virginia providing tax, fiduciary and business accounting services to clients from New York to Florida.

 

Diane Bowles Rigsby graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia with a BS in Commerce (Accounting Major). After leaving the audit department of a major, international accounting firm's Richmond office, she settled at a local CPA firm in Louisa, VA.  It was here that she found her niche developing an outstanding reputation for client service in the areas of income tax planning, tax compliance and consulting on accounting matters including the implementation of Quickbooks.  Mrs. Rigby has over 29 years of experience assisting individuals, small businesses, estates and trusts.  She joined Gerald L. Richardson, CPA, PC in 2019.

Marcia Chin was first employeed with Gerald L. Richardson, CPA, PC in 2000.  She is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and she has a 1985 degree in accounting from Bentley University.  She brings extensive experience in small business accounting working with QuickBooks for financial records and payroll processing.  During the last decade, Marcia has become a key employee assisting in all phases of the firm's practice from assisting clients with their QuickBooks records to preparing fiduciary accountings to be filed on behalf of executors and trusts with the local courts. 

Janet Tallent retired in June 2023 after 32 years working closely with Mr. Richardson.

She is a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. After graduation, she was employed in the tax department of a major, international accounting firm before moving into private practice with a regional utility company and then transitioned back into public practice with Gerald L. Richardson, CPA, PC
