Gerald Richardson's premise when he founded the firm in 1986 was, and still is today, that quality tax and accounting services are possible to find outside of the large, multi-national firms. What was missing in the marketplace was a local firm staffed with accountants who had the educational and technical backgrounds found in the larger firms.

Having begun his accounting career at what is now Ernst & Young, LLP, Mr. Richardson learned that clients did not appreciate the "revolving door" of accountants assigned to their files. This "upward and onward" philosophy toward the staff accountants resulted in ineffiencies for the client. Mr. Richardson believes that maintaining the working relationship between the client and the accountant - allowing the accountant to grow with the client - is of key importance and he says...
